Finding Homes for Rescue Cats & Dogs Across Long Island

We are a 501c3 organization.

Please take a moment to read our mission statement.

Forgotten Friends of Long Island is dedicated to the rescue of companion animals that have been in municipal shelters for an extended period of time, overlooked by both the general public and by rescues. Sadly, and through no fault of their own, these animals are homeless and wait patiently to be euthanized. Together we can help these rescue cats and dogs find a home. We are a proud animal rescue group that offers adoption for cats and dogs to loving pet people across Suffolk and Nassau County in New York. It is important to adopt rescue cats and find new homes for them. And the same goes for rescue dogs on Long Island. These rescue animals deserve a home and we do all we can to help them achieve that reality.
