Long Island Rescue Cats Adoption

Forgotten Friends of Long Island is an animal rescue group located in Plainview, New York that is dedicated to the rescue of companion cats and dogs. The rescue cats we take in have been in municipal shelters for extended periods of time and have been mostly overlooked by the general public. Unfortunately, many of the rescue cats in our care were homeless and were sadly waiting to be euthanized. We try to intervene, when possible, and take in these rescue cats. Many of which are in dire need of immediate attention. And try to find them a new, loving home on Long Island.

What We Do

Forgotten Friends of Long Island has no paid staff. That is because we are a 501c3 non-profit volunteer organization. Each and every dollar we raise is used to provide quality medical attention and rehabilitation for the rescue cats in our care. We dedicate our time to finding homes for these lovely pets. Our vetting process is extensive, but it is only because we want to find the best homes for all the rescue cats we have up for adoption. People from all over Long Island come to us to adopt one of the rescue cats in our care.
