Rescue Cats Up For Adoption

We Shelter Rescue Cats from Across Long Island

Forgotten Friends of Long Island is proud to be an adoption center for rescue cats. Many of these rescue animals have been in municipal shelters for extended periods of time and have been overlooked by both the general public. Or the rescue cats in our care were previously homeless. Sadly, many were waiting to be euthanized. When possible, Forgotten Friends intervenes for these rescue cats who are in dire need of immediate attention. We take them in and look to place them in caring, loving homes across Long Island, which includes cat lovers in both Nassau and Suffolk County, New York.

However, our rescue cats can only be seen through scheduling an appointment. Please email us at: ffoli.info@gmail.com if you are looking to see one of the cats in our care. Or reach out to us through Facebook. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but thank you for your time in adopting rescue cats from Long Island and giving them a much-needed home.

Importance of Adopting Rescue Cats

We at Forgotten Friends of Long Island believe it is important to adopt rescue cats. These are cats with no home simply looking for love. By adopting a rescue cat, you are not only gaining a pet, but saving their life. Many of the rescue cats in our care need a home otherwise they will likely have to be put down. So not only are you gaining a pet, but you are saving a life in the process.

What Makes Forgotten Friends Adoption Center Special

Forgotten Friends of Long Island has no paid staff and is a 501c3 non-profit volunteer organization. Each and every dollar we raise provides quality medical attention and rehabilitation for the cats that are in our care. We have a dedicated staff that looks to find homes for all the rescue animals we shelter and offer them up for adoption into loving and caring homes. The vetting process can be a little extensive, but it is only because we want to find the best homes for all the rescue cats we have up for adoption. But at the end of the day, it is important to find a loving and caring home for these animals.
