Forgotten Friends of Long Island is a 501c3 non-profit volunteer organization. We have no paid staff, so every dollar we raise is used to provide quality medical attention and rehabilitation for the rescue animals that are in our care. Our volunteers work tirelessly for these dogs, because every dog we care for deserves a loving and caring home.

We are an organization that is dedicated to the rescue of companion animals that have been left in municipal shelters and are in need of a new home. These are dogs that may have been left for an extended period of time and were overlooked by both the general public and other rescue groups.
