Suffolk County Animal Rescue Group
Forgotten Friends of Long Island is a respected animal rescue group taking in dogs and cats throughout Suffolk County. We then put up these animals for adoption in the hopes they find a new, loving home. Many of these animals have been in municipal shelters for extended periods of time and/or overlooked by both the general public and rescues. Sadly, and through no fault of their own, these animals are homeless. Many just sitting and waiting to be euthanized. When we can, we intervene to rescue these animals. Since they are in these shelters, many are in dire need of immediate attention.

A Non-Profit Suffolk County Animal Rescue Group
Forgotten Friends of Long Island is a 501c3 non-profit volunteer organization. Our staff is dedicated to the rescue of companion animals. These cats and dogs have been left for an extended period of time and many were simply overlooked by both the general public and other rescue groups. Forgotten Friends has no paid staff. So every dollar we raise is used to provide quality medical attention and rehabilitation for the rescue animals we take in. We often have events to help raise money.
