Scrappy is a 6-8 month old Pointer/Pit Bull mix that was saved from death row after he came down with Kennel Cough during his stay at the city shelter.  This baby was left tied to a pole in mid January, without food or water.  He is as sweet as sugar and loves cuddling on the sofa.  He is a great car ride companion and enjoys the company of humans and dogs both big and small.  He is sure to make his future family very happy and fill their days with joy and laughter.

Linus is a shephard mix who is approximately 5-6 months old. He was hit by 2 cars and was brought to the ER by a compassionate police officer who had to literally remove him from under the car.  Linus' upper lip was detached from his gum line and has since been stitched back.  But that is not all!  This poor pup has a fracture in one of his front legs and serious damage to his rear legs and pelvis.  FFLI was asked to step up to help this boy and we did! He will be having his much needed surgery on Monday morning.  He will have a bit of a road to recovery ahead of him but we will stick by him 100%!  Please see his x-ray images below as well as the video of him in his kennel at the hospital.  This beautiful baby deserves to live the life that was almost taken away from him too soon!

Jimmy is always ready to play and stay with you through good times and bad.  His one wish is to be your one and only. He’s attended obedience school so you can count on him to mind his manners and listen to whatever you have to say.  He is a calm and wonderful boy.  He is very friendly and walks well on leash.  Jimmy was rescued from the city kill shelter almost 2 years ago where he was on the euthanasia list for having mange - a non-contagious, curable condition.  He is now 100% back to a wonderful coat, healthy and happy.

Lady "Godiva" aka Chocolate is luscious inside and out, she is the "sweetest" 2 year old female lab mix you'll ever meet. In her life before Forgotten Friends, she spent her days and nights outdoors, tied to a short, thick, heavy chain-she knew no love. In fact, the metal collar around her neck was so embedded, it had to be removed surgically- her wound took months to heal. But now she’s better and as delightful as ever.  She needs someone who understands that she loves attention, guidance and playtime.

Carly is a wonderful 2 year old Shepherd mix and a very smart girl.  When she was in the shelter, she was fearful and considered unadoptable.  But now, with her new manners in place, she is ready for her forever home.  She is cute as a button, intelligent and loyal.  She would do best in an adult home because she likes a calm atmosphere.  Her past is behind her now.  Carly has blossomed into a happy and fun loving pup. She is great with other dogs too, but prefers no cats.

Terence is a rockstar!! He is a gorgeous American Bulldog Mix who is about a year old. We were able to save him from going to the kill shelter due to a good-hearted police officer who went the extra mile to keep him safe. He was found roaming around alone just looking for a friend. Terence is a mush of a dog although he's a strong boy and needs someone with experience and time to continue his training and exercise- from brushing up on his manners to ensuring he knows you're the boss. He would thrive with an active person or family who understands this need. He gets along with other dogs but is not fond of dominance. He walks well on his leash but needs someone who can handle his strong breed. Is this mush of a dog meant to be your next family member??

Jackie is a 5 year old Bull Terrier mix. Her story is sad and all too common, unfortunately. She was put into a kill shelter a while back by her family.  She has a grain allergy which affects her skin and they didn't know and didn't want to help her. All she has to do is eat special grain-free food and she’s fine! And get a load of this! A really nice person is sponsoring her food forever! Yes you heard right - lifetime sponsor for her food for life!!  She requires being on the raw food diet.  She is now in a foster home with a trainer – she’s doing so well but really needs her own forever home now.  She’s good on the leash but at about 55 lbs. she is strong and needs an experienced person who will go that extra mile for her every day. She likes other dogs but not crazy about those who get dominant and pushy. She makes a great friend and cuddle companion.

Jax is a 1 year old pit mix puppy that ended up at the city kill shelter with a severe leg injury. Scared, lonely and in pain, there's no doubt he would have ended up on the euthanasia list. He was taken into our rescue and had two operations to fix his leg.  He is a sweet boy and loves to play!  While he will always have a limp and is limited with certain activities, his spirit has always remained high.  He will make a great member of the family and will appreciate someone who understands his need to take it easy!
